A Drug For Nostalgia

about

A Drug For Nostalgia

Memories of an errant boy
Setting fire to his toys
Learning how this world can be destroyed
Nostalgia blooms as he pretends
He only wants to make amends

Mother love your selfish child
Vagabond for many miles
All this time he cannot reconcile
Nostalgia blooms before his eyes
He never got to say goodbye

Underneath the stars
A newborn masquerade begins
And when he leads the shadows
Dancing on his breath
The stars will fade
